Jinja – days 12 / 13

It’s been a quiet start to the week.DSC00202Jinja Main StreetAt the moment I’ve been forced to leave the house for a local restaurant that has Wifi. The panfried fish is brilliant but the connectivity is darn slow so I may be a while.

Yesterday I woke up and decided to do a short presentation to the staff here on feely bags. Weird eh? Especially since I ended up using my clean socks as “bags”. Had to improvise. Think they were impressed.

What I’m really trying to do is look at the games the children pay and enhance them with various suggestions. Now Grace wants me to write a lesson plan for a training session in which we present some of the ideas to the volunteer mothers.

Got invited to a tree planting session at a local primary school this morning. Off Ronald and I go on our boda bodas at 8.00 am. The boarding primary pupils were about 12 or 13 and just finishing primary school at the end of the year. It seems they start the school day at 6.30 and finish at 5.00pm. Long day.

These are the streets of Jinja near closing time today. Notice the boda boda riders waiting patiently for a customer.

Well the pan-fried fish was worth blogging for but I’m getting bitten now so that’s your lot until next time. XX
